Windtalkers

Windtalkers is an action film starring Nicolas Cage and Christian Slater. Cage and Slater portray Marines assigned to protect Navajo Indians who were used to make military transmissions during World War II.

Approximately 400 Navajo Indians were employed by the U.S.military in World War II. Instead of traditional Morse code, the Navajos used their native dialect to transmit military communications by radio.
