Microsoft released the Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) on April 21, 2008. The service pack will be available to the general public on April 29, 2008. SP3 is cumulative and may be installed on top of SP1 and/or SP2. It includes Network Access Protection (NAP) and improvements to the black hole router detection. The SP3 does not significantly change the Windows XP experience, however it does bring many of the Microsoft Windows Vista functionality to Windows XP. It also includes enhancements to the control panel security options. It does not include Internet Explorer 7.
