Wilson Pickett was a famous R&B and soul singer best known for his raspy voice and energetic performances.
Pickett recorded over 50 songs that charted on U.S. R&B charts with some songs crossing over to the pop charts as well. Pickett's passionate vocal delivery developed when he was a child singing in Baptist church choirs.
