Early Life
Willie J. Green was born in Detroit, Michigan, on July 28, 1981, and he went on to attend Cooley High School. He continued his education at the University of Detroit Mercy. After the draft, Green was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers. In his first season, Green averaged 6.9 points, 1.2 assists and 14.5 minutes per game. During the 2007-2008 campaign, Green started 74 games for the Sixers.
