Football Career
Prior to playing in the NFL, Colon played college football at Hofstra University. He redshirted in 2001, then went on to play one game in 2002 and start all games during his final three seasons. After college, Colon was selected 131st overall in the 2006 NFL draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers. He made his professional debut that same year, playing in two games with the Steelers.
