• Darren Matthews, best known by his ring name William Regal, is a professional wrestler with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). He is currently the General Manager of the Raw brand.

  Matthews began his professional wrestling career in World Championship Wrestling, quickly becoming the heel character of Lord Steven Regal. He would win the WCW World Television Championship four times before leaving to join the WWF in 1998. Regal's first stint in the WWF saw him as a "Real Man's Man" lumberjack type character. This run was short lived with Regal checking into rehab at the beginning of 1999.

  Regal checked out of rehab and came back to WCW in 1999, only to be released in 2000. Regal then rejoined the WWE where he has been a mainstay since. His latest run has included roles as the WWF Commissioner, Intercontinental Champion, and Raw General Manager. Regal won the 2008 King of the Ring on April 21, 2008.
