William Parente, 59, killed himself after apparently beating and suffocating his wife, Betty Parente, and two daughters Stephanie Parente and Catherine Parente. The Bodies were discovered in a hotel room north of Baltimore on April 20, 2009. Murder-suicide
The Parente family was believed to be last seen on Sunday, April 19, 2009, having breakfast together at the Sheraton Hotel in suburban Baltimore, Maryland. After the Parentes did not check out of the hotel as scheduled on the afternoon of Monday, April 20, 2009, hotel housekeeping staff entered the room, finding the four bodies inside. Police were called to the hotel at around 3:00 p.m. local time on April 20.
