Komlo failed to appear for sentencing in May 2005 on two drunk driving charges. At the time he disappeared he was also scheduled to appear in a preliminary court to respond to assault charges on his girlfriend. A warrant had also been issued for the arson fire of his home in West Palm Beach; a second house Chester Springs, Pennsylvania also burned under suspicious circumstances.
