  • William Cunningham is a Georgia man who poisoned his two children in an attempt to extort money from Campbell's Soup Company. In 2006, Cunningham forced his children, both under 4 years old, to eat soup he had poisoned with prescription drugs and lighter fluid. Although the children survived, they may suffer lifelong health issues.

    According to authorities, William Cunningham poisoned his children three times. The first time he laced the soup with hot peppers and lighter fluid and forced his children to eat it. The second time, Cunningham added Prozac and Amitriptyline, prescription drugs used to treat depression.
