Writer and comedian Will Forte has been a featured player on Saturday Night Live since joining the cast on 2002 for the 28th Season. His more popular characters on the show include political candidate Tim Calhoun, The Falconer and resourceful action hero MacGruber. He also does impressions of George W. Bush, John Edwards, Bruce Springsteen and others on the show.
A film version of the MacGruber sketch, starring Forte, SNL co-star Kristen Wiig and Val Kilmer will be released on April 23, 2010. It marks the first SNL spin-off film since 2000's The Ladies Man.
Before joining the SNL cast, Forte was a member of the comedy troupe The Groundlings. He has also been a writer and producer for the TV shows 3rd Rock from the Sun and That '70s Show.

Forte appears regularly on the Adult Swim sketch comedy series Tim and Eric's Awesome Show in a variety of roles, produced by Mr. Show album Bob Odenkirk. Forte and Odenkirk also worked together on the film The Brothers Solomon, directed by Odenkirk and starring Forte and Will Arnett. Arnett and Forte both do voices on the animated series Sit Down, Shut Up.
As well, Forte has worked numerous times with the Broken Lizard comedy troupe. In addition to starring in the group's movie Beerfest, he has a featured role in the follow-up, The Slammin' Salmon.

"Falseface"
"Falseface" is a short film starring Will Forte and Brian Petsos. The film was directed by Will Carlough. In the film, Victor (Petsos) invites a friend, Nathan (Forte), to join him for a relaxing weekend at Seneca Lake. After Victor presses him, Nathan threatens to break off their friendship.
