Will Arnett portrayed professional illusionist Gob Bluth on the Fox sitcom Arrested Development and often appears on the NBC comedy 30 Rock. Arnett and his wife, Saturday Night Live regular Amy Poehler welcomed their son Archie Arnett into the world on October 25, 2008.
Career Background
Arnett studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York City. He appeared in a number of failed pilots and short-lived TV shows before being cast, in 2003, as Gob in Arrested Development. Though the show only lasted 3 seasons, it built a significant cult following (as well as earning Arnett an Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actor).
After Arrested
Arnett has since teamed with director (and Mr. Show veteran) Bob Odenkirk on two films, Let's Go to Prison and The Brothers Solomon, and co-starred along with wife Amy Poehler in the figure skating comedy Blades of Glory. He has also made multiple appearances on the NBC sitcom 30 Rock, playing a rival to Alec Baldwin's GE executive Jack Donaghy.
