"Lynch's punchiest, campiest and most violent movie, featuring Willem Dafoe's spectacularly shot-off head, a severed hand, lots of sex, vomit, dirty talk and a leitmotif of gigantic close-ups of matches igniting."—David Ansen, Newsweekhttp://www.newsweek.com/id/127513

"Joltingly violent, wickedly funny and rivetingly erotic, David Lynch's Wild at Heart [based on the novel by Barry Gifford] is a rollercoaster ride to redemption through an American gothic heart of darkness."—Variety staff, Varietyhttp://www.variety.com/review/VE1117796380.html?categoryid=31&cs=1

"This manic, Southern Gothic road movie now seems too deliberately weird."—Jake Euker, Filmcritic.comhttp://www.filmcritic.com/misc/emporium.nsf/reviews/Wild-at-Heart
