  Women from all 50 states (and Washington DC) competed for the title and the opportunity to ultimately go to the Miss Universe Pageant.

  Miss Texas, Crystle Stewart won the Miss USA pageant. The event happened on April 11, 2008 at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Stewart went on to represent the United States of America in the Miss Universe Pageant where she ultimately fell during the evening gown round.
