  • White Christmas is a 1954 musical starring Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye, featuring songs of Irving Berlin. The title song was originally one of the musical numbers in the 1942 film Holiday Inn, winning the Academy Award for Best Original Song.

  • Behind the Scenes

    The film was to be a third reunion vehicle for Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire, but Astaire declined after a review of the script. Donald O'Connor was asked to substitute, but passed due to illness. He was replaced by Danny Kaye. Vera-Ellen's singing was dubbed by Trudy Stevens in all of the numbers except "Sisters," where Rosemary Clooney sang both parts Rosemary Clooney was not allowed to record the soundtrack album for Decca as she was contractually obligated to Columbia. She was replaced on the album by Peggy Lee.
