- According to their About page, The Hype Machine is a music blog aggregator that tracks thousands of music blog posts produced each day, providing direct links to MP3s that are posted and discussed on these blogs. Whenever a blog post contains a link to an MP3, the link is then added to the Hype Machine database and displayed on The Hype Machine front page. Users can then search the database for specific songs either by album, artist or song title. Although the Hype Machine does not allow users to download these tracks directly, it does provide links to the specific blogs where they are available. The Hype Machine also provides users with an Internet Radio function via which all of the most recently updated MP3s can be streamed directly to your computer.
