Know Your Mandoline
Blades: The mandoline has different blades to use for a variety of cuts, including julienne, crinkle, waffle or diced.
- Dial: The dial on the back adjusts the thickness of the cuts. Move it back to make thicker cuts and move it forward to make thinner ones.
- History: The mandoline has been used for centuries and was
originally held against the chest to get a good angle for slicing. In fact, this resemblance to the musical mandolin originated its name.
- Safety: The blades on the mandoline can be sharp and you should always be careful when you're using it. Protect your hands by using the guard and parts properly.
