Synopsis
Loosely based on events from the life of director Brian Goodman, the film stars Mark Ruffalo as Brian and Ethan Hawke as Paulie. The two star as lifelong friends from crime filled and violent streets of south Boston. They do whatever it takes to survive, living by the code of their dog-eat-dog neighborhood. The pair work their way up the chain of power on the street until they garner the attention of a mafia boss. Brian's wife attempts to steer her husband away from a tragic path, but Brian still feels the pull of the lifestyle, as well as a loyalty to his best friend Paulie. His friend has a plan for one more job to help both of them break out of the vicious cycle of petty crime.
