The WGA stands for the Writers Guild of America, a labor union that represents the television, radio and film writers in the United States. The WGA has two divisions: Writers Guild of America, West and Writers Guild of America, East. The two entities work in conjunction with each other and were founded in 1921 and 1951 respectively.
