In 1987, WFAN became the world's first 24-hour a day sports talk format radio station. Originally positioned at 1050AM on the dial, they relocated to 660AM on the dial. They recently celebrated their 20th anniversary, and serve as New York's flagship station for the New York Mets, New York Giants, New Jersey Nets, and the New Jersey Devils.
