West Indian Girl's music bears psychedelic influences that span decades, from the Velvet Underground and Pink Floyd, to spacey '80s and '90s bands like Cocteau Twins and Slowdive, to the modern psychedelia of The Flaming Lips, and even elements of electronica. The band is named after a legendarily potent form of LSD.
