Wendy's is a chain of fast food restaurants with over 6,700 locations worldwide. It was started in 1969 by Dave Thomas, who named his restaurant after his daughter's nickname "Wendy." Wendy's is the third largest fast food hamburger restaurant after McDonald's and Burger King.
They are best known for their signature square patty. Menu consists of hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, salads, French fries and beverages, including the Frosty drink. In April 2008 they announced plans to sell themselves to Triarc, the company that owns Arby's restaurants.
