Weinstein WGA Deal

On January 11, 2008 it was announced the The Weinstein Company signed an interim work agreement with the WGA that will allow them to resume working with writers to make their films.

Fast Facts:

  1. The Weinstein Company is the second company do sign an interim Agreement, just 4 days after Tom Cruise's United Artists signed an Agreement.
  2. The Weinstein Company focuses on lower to mid-range budgeted independent and art house films.
  3. One of the Company's more high profile projects is an adaptation of Akira Kurosawa's classic The Seven Samurai.
