A wedding is the ceremony during which two people become married. The marriage ceremony itself is but one part of a wedding, which can involve a reception party afterward, in addition to other parties, brunches, the rehearsal, all of which usually culminates in the married couple embarking on a honeymoon. In America, weddings are festive occasions which allow the couple's friends and family to gather and celebrate their union, but the wedding can be held in one of an infinite number of styles and traditions.
