We Are Wizards

We Are Wizards premiered at the 2008 South By Southwest (SXSW) film festival in Austin, Texas. The documentary focuses on Harry Potter fans and the effect that the books and movies have on their lives. The film opens in limited theaters on November 14, 2008.

The musical genre, wizard rock, and Harry Potter Internet fan sites developed in response to followers' obsession with the book and film series. The documentary begins by exploring two of the bands, Harry and the Potters and The Hungarian Horntails. The film further details the religious controversy surrounding the film.
