"We Are the World" is a pop music song written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie and performed by nearly 50 musicians in 1985. The song was produced to raise funds to assist in the famine relief in Africa.
Several musicians will reportedly perform the song at the memorial for Michael Jackson on July 7, 2009.
