Career Overview
The band members met while attending college in Claremont. After releasing several EP's and LP's independently, they were signed to EMI and Virgin Records in 2006. They became noted for the infectious hooks in their songs as well as their comically surreal music videos, mostly directed by Akiva Schaffer.
Original drummer Michael Tapper left the band in late 2007. Keith Murray and Chris Cain played for a time as a duo, hiring a rotating selection of guest drummers, until they permanently added keyboardist and guitarist Max Hart and new drummer Adam Aaronson to the line-up.
