  • Aggressive, hard-hitting professional hockey player Wayne Primeau plays center for the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League.

Primeau was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres during the first round of the 1994 NHL Entry Draft and was on their roster as a full time player by the 1996-1997 season. In 2000, the Sabres traded Primeau to the Tampa Bay Lightning, where he remained for a year before joining the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Two years with the Penguins, and Primeau was traded again; this time to the San Jose Sharks with whom he would reach a career high of 29 points and 90 penalty minutes in 72 games during the 2003-2004 season. After the locked-out 2004-2005 season, Primeau would return for one more year with the Sharks before heading to join the Boston Bruins for a season and a half. In early 2007, Primeau was traded to the Calgary Flames
