Hypermiling is a set of techniques designed to improve a car's efficiency and gas mileage.

Gerdes' Tips
Gerdes offers a number of suggestions for drivers who want to increase their fuel economy. He recommends purchasing a fuel-consumption device to keep track of what kind of mileage a car is getting.
