Waterfall

A Waterfall is when water flows over a solid drop off in a downward motion. There are many sizes and types of waterfalls on earth. Waterfalls can either occur naturally or be made artificially.

Typically, waterfalls form naturally in rivers and streams in fault line areas that create a step in the rock underlying the water flowing area.

When waterfalls are created artificially, they are often to enhance the aestheticism of a garden or landscape.
