Watchmen Soundtrack

The soundtrack for the film Watchmen was released March 3, 2009. It features a wide variety of songs originally released in the 1960's. There is one new song, a cover of Bob Dylan's "Desolation Row" performed by My Chemical Romance.

There are three Dylan songs in total used in the film, “Desolation Row," "The Times They Are A-Changin'" and “All Along the Watchtower" performed by Jimi Hendrix. Other artists featured on the Watchmen soundtrack include Nat King Cole, Janis Joplin, Leonard Cohen, Nina Simone, Billie Holiday, Simon & Garfunkel and composer Philip Glass.

The song "The Beginning Is the End Is the Beginning" by the Smashing Pumpkins was featured in the film's promotional trailer, but was not included on the Watchmen soundtrack final edition.
