The popular reality show The Hills aired on MTV from 2006 to 2010. The series followed a group of young adults who live, play and cause drama in Los Angeles, California. Lauren Conrad was the original focus of the show, but left the show in season five and was replaced by Kristin Cavallari.
While The Hills ended in 2010, there are still several ways to watch The Hills online. Full episodes are available on the MTV official site as well as secondary video sites.
During it's original run, many speculated whether the show was actual reality or a scripted series, with producers remaining coy about how the series was produced. The finale, which aired on July 13, 2010, finished with the cast members on a television set in Hollywood, touching on claims that the series was not reality, rather a scripted show.
''The Hills'' Overview
The show debuted in 2006 as a follow-up from the MTV reality show Laguna Beach, which also starred Conrad and Cavallari. Conrad and best friend Heidi Montag move from their parents' homes in Laguna Beach to Hollywood, with the cameras capturing them at home, work and out around town. During the second season, Conrad and Montag have a falling out, much from the help of Montag's then-boyfriend and later-husband Spencer Pratt. The wedding between Montag and Pratt was filmed and shown during the fifth season.
Montag and Pratt became the focus of the show nearing the end of season four as Conrad left the show to pursue other opportunities. Season five saw Cavallari join the cast, replacing Conrad and becoming the focus of the show. Cavallari continued with the show during its sixth and final season, which showed the cast members preparing for the next steps in their lives.
The series also featured a variety of other socialites including Lo Bosworth, Brody Jenner, Frankie Delgado, Audrina Patridge and Whitney Port. Other people have appeared in a small number of episodes including Jayde Nicole, Stephanie Pratt, Justin Brescia, Stacie Hall and Jen Bunney. Two cast members, Whitney Port and Audrina Patridge, received spin-off shows of their own, The City and The Audrina Show respectively.
