About the Series
90210 is a remake of the original series Beverly Hills 90210, which was broadcast from 1990 to 2000. Both series focus around a family with two children, who move from a small town to Beverly Hills and attempt to adjust to the Hollywood lifestyle.
Several actors and characters from the original series have come back in the remake, including Jennie Garth as Kelly Taylor, Shannen Doherty as Brenda Walsh and Tori Spelling as Donna Martin. Actress Jessica Stroup portrays Erin Silver, the younger sister of Kelly Taylor, who was born on the original series.
Rob Estes appeared on the original version of Melrose Place, which was a successful spin-off from the original Beverly Hills 90210 during the 1990s. Melrose Place was also remade, debuting in 2009 with several cast members from the original series as well.
The 90210 remake follows teenagers who attend West Beverly Hills High School, including brother and sister Annie and Dixon Wilson, who move to the swank area from Kansas. Similar to the original series, the teens deal with a variety of dramatic situations such as teenage pregnancy, drug use and romance. After making its premiere in 2008, 90210 has been renewed twice through 2010, with the third season set to debut in the fall of 2010. Rob Estes and Jennie Garth announced they will not return for the third season.
