  • Wasilla Assembly of God, where former Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin attends church, was heavily damaged by a fire December 12, 2008. Investigators called the fire "suspicious" and are investigating arson as a possible cause.     Sarah Palin is a long-time member of the Wasilla Assembly of God, having been baptized there at the age of 12. She joined a non-denomenational church closer to her new residence when she became Governor in 2002, but her new church is affiliated. Palin reportedly stopped by the church the weekend after the fire.
