The Washington State University football program plays college football in the Pacific Ten Conference. The team plays their home games at Martin Stadium on the university campus in Pullman. In 2008, Paul Wulff took over as the head coach of the team, replacing Bill Doba.

Wazzou history
Though the program has historically not been as competitive as their rivals Washington, the Cougars have played in the Rose Bowl twice since 1998, winning four conference championships overall. They've appeared in a total of ten bowl games, winning six of them. Their last bowl appearance was in 2003. Perhaps their two most well-known players in history have been quarterbacks, Drew Bledsoe and Ryan Leaf. Other memorable players in school history include Hugh Campbell, Steve Broussard, Mike Wilson, Harland Svare, James Hasty, Chad Eaton, Mike Utley, Marcus Trufant, Keith Millard and Mark Rypien.Players in the NFL
