  • The Washington Global Economic Summit was a conference on the economy which took place in Washington, D.C. on November 15, 2008. The conference was hosted by the United States and focused on the causes of the current global financial crisis. Leaders that participate in the G-20 were invited.

    The attendees at the meeting agreed on an action plan to reform the financial system and to work together to restore global growth.
