General Tips and Advice
Wanted is not very difficult to play. The gameplay functions are easy to learn and somewhat intuitive. The main strategy in this game is to assume a protected position behind some cover, take out enemies and advance by moving forward in cover or flanking around enemies. The key element of this game is cover, always maintain your cover. Aspects of gameplay will change slightly, like using a Sniper rifle or manning a machine gun. But regardless of the gameplay there will always be an opportunity to seek cover. Get behind something! Conversely there is not much you cannot hit from a covered position. Your enemies cannot hide from you as Wesley will remind you, "looks like somebody forgot I can curve bullets." -

Wesley and His Abilities
You play the game changing between Wesley and his father Cross but the controls are the same. To move Wesley use the Left Analog Stick, to move the Camera use the Right Analog Stick. To move in and out of cover use the X button. To peek while in cover use the Left Analog Stick. To chain cover (move from cover to cover) move the Left Analog Stick in the direction you want to move. An graphic indicator will appear showing where Wesley can go, press X and he will move there. Enhanced Quick Movement is the same as chaining cover except press Triangle instead of X and you will move cover in bullet time allowing you to take out multiple enemies. To aim your weapon press and hold L2. To curve a bullet press and hold R1 and adjust the Right Analog Stick until your bullet path and silhouette of the target turns white, then release R1 and Wesley will fire the shot. To blind fire press the R2 button while in cover. When you are close to an enemy you can use Close Combat by pressing the Circle button. You will be prompted by a Close Combat icon on screen. If you sneak up behind an enemy, you can use them as a Meat Shield by pressing the Circle button when prompted with the Meat Shield icon on screen. When you're finished using the enemy as a Meat Shield press Circle again to kill them. -
Collectibles
- The collectibles in this game are relatively easy to find. Every time you clear and area and all the shooters are dead, look behind things and in corners and you will find all the extras. If the area is large, you will probably find more than one item. Also shoot all blinking mines on bodybags and under sinks.
