Wanted Movie

Wanted is a 2008 action movie based on the comic book series of the same name by Mark Millar. It stars James McAvoy, Angelina Jolie and Morgan Freeman.

The film was nominated for the Best Sound Editing Oscar and a Best Sound Mixing Oscar in 2009, but the awards went to the production teams behind The Dark Knight and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, respectively.

Plot

Wanted is about a twenty-five year old cubicle-dwelling employee named Wesley Gibson (played by (James McAvoy) who is recruited into a secret ring of assassins called The Fraternity and offered the chance to avenge his estranged father's murder. He studies under the tutelage of his father's old partner, Sloan (played by Morgan Freeman), and Sloan's second in command, Fox (played by Angelina Jolie). Slowly, Gibson begins to tap into super powers that he never knew he had, such as heightened strength, agility and incredibly fast reflexes.

Wanted is directed by Timur Bekmambetov, produced by Marc Platt, Jason Netter and Jim Lemley, and written by Derek Haas, Michael Brandt, Chris Morgan and Dean Georgaris.
