"The artistic triumph of Waltz With Bashir is that, instead of 90 minutes of middle-aged male talking heads, the events being described are strikingly animated on-screen. In a way he allows us more so than any film, narrative, or documentary of late to interact with the story that is laid out. His goal is simple: to tell a story, to move his audience. He succeeds."—Artist DirectArtist Direct: Waltz with Bashir (January 6, 2009)
