Career
Walt Simonson first gained the attention of comic book fans with his artwork for Manhunter in 1973. He won three Shazam Awards for his contributions to the series, which also earned him an "Outstanding New Talent" Shazam Award.The Hahn Library: 1973 Academy of Comic Book Arts Awards
Later, Simsonson took control of The Mighty Thor series, which incorporated Norse Mythology with its storylines. In the early 2000s, he wrote for the DC title Orion.
