If you find yourself needing to return a purchase to Wal-Mart, the store has a set return policy. Whether it's returning a piece of clothing that doesn't fit properly, or curtains that simply don't match your home's decor, you can return most merchandise within 90 days of purchase to a Wal-Mart store or via mail. There are rules and guidelines, however, for each type of merchandise. In every case, be sure you have your receipt with you when you return the item.

Returning Items to a WalMart Store
Wal-Mart's return policy varies. Many purchases at Wal-Mart can be brought back within 90 days of purchase, but there are exceptions. These include:- Apparel: Merchandise must be returned unworn and all tags must be on clothing
- Books, movies and video games: Must be returned unopened and unmarked
- Electronics:
- Computer hardware must be returned within 15 days
- Computer accessories must be returned within 45 days
- Camcorders/digital cameras must be returned within 30 days
