Wally Pfister is an American cinematographer. He has worked on such films as Batman Begins, The Prestige, The Italian Job and The Dark Knight.
Pfister was nominated for an Oscar in 2009 in the category Best Cinematography for The Dark Knight, but the Award went to Slumdog Millionaire cinematographer Anthony Dod Mantle.

The two met at the Sundance Film Festival, where a film Pfister shot was up for competition.Kodak.com: A Conversation with Wally Pfister In 2000, Nolan selected Pfister to shoot Memento, which garnered Pfister an Independent Spirit Award nomination.
