Wag the Dog is a 1998 political satire in which a Hollywood producer is hired to orchestrate a fake war with Albania in order to distract from a presidential sex scandal. The film stars Robert De Niro as a political operative and Dustin Hoffman as a Hollywood producer. It was co-written by playwright David Mamet and Romeo Is Bleeding writer Hilary Henkin.
