The Young Political Majors LLC is a small private consulting firm which has registered about 70,000 Republican party voters in 2008. Also known as YPM, the firm has been hired in several states as part of the GOP get-out-the-vote effort; YPM is paid between $7-12 per registration.Los Angeles Times: Voters say they were duped into registering as Republicans (October 18, 2008)
Reports in several states have surfaced alleging that YPM duped voters into changing their registrations. In investigating these claims, the Los Angeles Times randomly interviewed 46 of the hundreds of voters who records show were recently re-registered as Republicans.
