  Ford initially became known to the public with her first album Willa Was Here. She released the songs "I Wanna Be Bad" and "Did Ya' Understand That" from her first album, along with the Christmas song "Santa Baby Gimme Gimme Gimme" for the MTV TRL Christmas, in 2001.
