A Wiki is a sharable online database that is accessed via the Internet and quickly and easily edited by multiple users. Wikis use a simplified mark up language called wikicode, for organizing content, adding links and formatting. A wiki is generally, but not always, edited by end-users and is open source. Although Wikipedia is the best-known example of a wiki, many other sites contain wiki elements.
