• Having a Cavalier Attitude

  The Cavaliers were led by head coach George Welsh for 19 seasons, the longest tenure in the modern era of the school. The Cavs have appeared in 16 bowl games, most recently the 2008 Gator Bowl. The current head coach is Virginia alum Al Groh, and the school was recently honored with Chris Long being drafted second overall in the 2008 NFL draft. Other worthy players of note from school history include the Barber brothers Tiki and Ronde, Heath Miller, Herman Moore, Jim Dombrowski, Thomas Jones, Mark Dixon, Don Majkowski, D'Brickashaw Ferguson, Matt Schaub, Patrick Kerney and Henry Jordan.
