Best Timeout Ever?
Much like in USC-UCLA games from years back, the Trojans wore their red home jerseys when they visited the Bruins. USC coach Pete Carroll was willing to take the uniform penalty, a loss of one timeout, to honor this tradition. Rick Neuheisel, UCLA's coach, burned one of his timeouts at the start of the game to come to match their penalized cross-town foes and continue the history of the rivalry.Los Angeles Times: UCLA and USC Coaches Find Color Scheme That Works One fan described the situation as the "best use of a timeout EVER."UA Football: Best use of a timeout EVERRecent Games
