The victim, 33-year-old Daniel Seeck, is a cousin of one of Pennington's managers.   Pennington was considered an unruly child. He was quoted in an interview for E! Network saying, "I would strip down naked, and swing from the blinds in my classroom as a child." Diagnosed with ADHD at the age of seven by his mother, at the time receiving a graduate degree in psychology, and then by his pediatrician. Instead his mother designed a system to end his disruptive behavior. It wasn't until he turned 17 that he was treated with medication. Pennington is now a spokesperson for the organization ADHD Experts on Call and manages his condition with Adderall XR.
