About the Album
24 Hours is Jones' first new album of original material to be released in the United States in 15 years and features only two cover songs, Bruce Springsteen's "The Hitter" and "I'm Alive" by Tommy James and the Shondells. Featuring a "Retro Soul" sound (akin to Amy Winehouse), the album also features contributions from Bono and The Edge of U2.Billboard: Bono, The Edge Guest On Tom Jones Album (September 17, 2008)Tom Jones Quote
"We've been thinking about this for a while, doing a retro sound but new. And Amy Winehouse, she cracked it. When that album came out, my son called me right away and said, 'You know what we've been talking about? Listen to this.'"Billboard: Bono, The Edge Guest On Tom Jones Album (September 17, 2008)Categories
