• Pumpkin Cookies

  Combine one cup sugar with one tablespoon butter and mix until creamy. Add in one beaten egg, one teaspoon vanilla, one cup pumpkin puree and one-half cup chopped walnuts. Gradually stir in 2 cups flour, one teaspoon baking powder and a half teaspoon salt. Drop by spoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet and bake for about 15 minutes in a preheated 375 degrees F oven.

• Turkey Cookies

  Separate the halves from one package of sandwich cookies. Using a bit of chocolate frosting, affix five to seven pieces of candy corn to the inside of the cookies, forming feathers. Replace the cookie half, securing with additional frosting. Using a second cookie, form an L shape by connecting the cookies with frosting and a miniature peanut butter cup in the corner. Top the peanut butter cup with one malted milk ball, again using frosting. Add small cinnamon candies to the malted milk ball for the eyes and the tip of a piece of candy corn for a beak.
